Whole wheat phulka made from Family Favourite Atta
The unleavened flatbread and the a must to have component in a north India plate. Better known as chapati or roti and made with whole wheat.

Family favourite atta | 3 cups |
Water | 1.25 cups |
Ghee | 1 tbsp |
Salt | As per taste |
Step by Step Recipe
- Take the atta in a deep bowl, make a well in the centre and start mixing water part by part.
- Begin kneading the dough along with adding water in the mix.
- Knead till the dough becomes soft.
- Make small to medium sized balls of the dough.
- Flatten them with flour on the rolling board. Roll it out with a rolling pin.
- Put the roti on a hot tawa and let it cook on one side (approx. for a min) and then change the side.
- Once it starts to puff, take it off from the tawa and hold it with a tong directly to the fire.
- Spread ghee or butter on it.
- Serve them directly or keep them in a casserole.
