Ghee | For frying |
Nuts | For garnishing |
Sugar | 3/4 cup |
Whole black pepper | 8-10 |
Step by Step Recipe
- Mix Family Favorite atta and sugar in 1 1/2 cup of water (add water little by little).
- Mix well making sure no lumps remain in it. Cover and set aside for 3-4 hours (batter should be of dosa batter consistency; add more water if needed).
- Add whole black pepper and mix well.
- Heat the ghee in a flat-bottomed iron pan or non-stick frying pan.
- Pour a small ladleful of batter in the hot ghee. It should spread by itself to form a thin round shape and deep fry them from both sides till crispy.
- Make all the malpuas from batter.
- Dip in sugar syrup and serve hot.
