Rava-dosa made from Hi-Life Sooji

Enjoy the instant rava masala dosa made from sooji and relish the flavors of the southern most part of the sub-continent in your plate. A perfect blend of Sooji, wrapped around a potato filling and served with Sambhar, Chutney or just ketchup.

Family Favourite Atta1 tbsp
Curd1 cup

Channa Dal1 tbsp
Curry Leaves10-15
Ginger1 small piece

Red chilly powder1 tsp
Turmeric powder1 tsp
Fresh coriander leaves2 tbsp
Baking soda1/4 tsp

Step by Step Recipe

  1. Take a frying pan and one tbsp of  oil. Once hot add mustard seeds, channa dal, ginger, onion, curry leaves and toss over medium flame for 2-3 mins.
  2. Add boiled potatoes to the pan and heat on a low flame for 5 mins.
  3. Add chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Add coriander leaves once the mixture is cooked and set aside. 
  4. Mix Hi-Life Sooji, Family Favorite atta and besan in a mixer for a minute.
  5. Take the extract in a bowl and add to it salt, curd and stir well. Leave it for 10 mins.
  6. Add water to make consistency as required and add baking soda. Stir well.
  7. Heat oil on a flat-bottomed non-stick frying pan.
  8. Pour a ladleful of batter on the pan and spread evenly. Ensure that the flame is medium to avoid over cooking.
  9. Add oil towards the margin for an even cooking and heat till golden brown.
  10. Spread the potato filling in the center and wrap the dosa around it.
  11. Serve it with Chutney, sambhar or ketchup.
