Vegetable Dalia made from Hi-Life Dalia

Onion1
Ginger 1 small piece
Tomato1
Carrot1
Bottle guard1/2 piece
Green peas1/2 cup
Water4 cup
Cumin seeds1 tsp
Oil1 tbsp
SaltAs per taste

Step by Step Recipe

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  2. Splutter the cumin in the hot oil.
  3. Add chopped onions and sauté till they become golden.
  4. Add chopped ginger, green chilies and sauté for 1-2 mins.
  5. Add chopped tomato and sauté for 2 minute.
  6. Add all the remaining vegetables and sauté for 2 minutes.
  7. Rinse the dalia and add to the pressure cooker.
  8. Stir for 2-3 mins.
  9. Add water and salt.
  10. Pressure cook for 7-8 whistles till the dalia is cooked well.
  11. Garnish vegetable dalia with coriander leaves and serve hot with a teaspoon of ghee added.
